Let's cook!

Today in class we have cooked some gingerbread! Here you have the receipt but remember! Cook with your parents or an older person!


RECEIPT
Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup molasses
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 5 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon soda1 egg
  • 2-1/2 cups flour
  • 1 cup hot water

Preparation: 

  1. Put molasses in a bowl. Add sugar, melted butter, cinnamon and ginger. 
  2. Put soda and salt in a cup and fill with hot water. Stir into first mixture. Add flour, then well beaten egg.
  3. Bake for thirty minutes in a well greased pan. 
  4. Watch oven closely, as gingerbread burns easily. This makes a good sized cake.
  5. Bake in a greased 13x9-inch pan at 350°F for 23 to 27 minutes.
  6. Ready to eat!
